The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Texas A&M University now has a larger student body than ever before in the school's history - with 47,925 students. According to the Dallas Morning News, Texas A&M's freshman class totals 8,127; that's an increase of almost 1,400 over last year. Richard Winger’s Ballot Access News reports that Democrats and Republicans have missed the August 26th deadline to place a presidential candidate on the ballot in Texas. According to the Texas Secretary of State website, Bob Barr and Wayne Allyn Root are the only candidates for president and vice-president that will appear on the ballot in Texas

Although it's certainly old news about Favre's trade demands and the Packers' banking their 2008 season on Aaron Rodgers, TheManager felt compelled to discuss both sides collective inability to swallow their pride and do what's truly best for the team. True leaders would not act anything like Favre or the Packers in this situation.

This is news. It's also the media actually doing their job (which Jake, among a handful of others, actually does routinely). In any case, this is bad. McCain is basically putting out ads (well, they're not even ads, because they're not really running them anywhere - they're just hoping the media will show them for free, and they do)
